At the age of 25 John Elliott became the youngest Insurance Brokerage owner in Australia after only 18 months in the industry. 4 years later John had won the prestigious BRW Fast 100 putting his company as one of the fastest growing in Australia. This was followed by a back too back the next year, and since then his company has remained in the top ten insurance brokerages in Australia for 8 years straight by Insurance Business Australia.
During this time aligning the company and himself with organisations and people that are determined to make a difference has seen him impact lives across Australia and Africa including:
- Organising to raise the funds for a complete renovation of the malnutrition ward in Lusaka Zambia UTH the nations largest hospital, resulting in over 15,000 lives being saved since.
- Raising funds and donating his own Audi R8 to buy a piece of land in Soy Kenya to build a sustainable children’s village
- Helping raise funds for regional domestic violence shelters assisting women and children in the Western Australia South West
- In total raising over $1,000,000 for charities and causes in the last 5 years.
Not all of this has gone to plan and there has been many dollars lost, charity event and campaign failures, and trying to be his honest true self. Johns honest approach and style sees him share this unashamedly along side the wins.
Over 2017 John has engineered the complete exit from his previous life, resigning as CEO of the company he founded, giving away and donating majority of his possessions, including his prize car. He has moved out of his extremely comfortable penthouse in Perth and been on the road for 8 months around Australia learning how to tame and train wild.
